Koke Resurreccion has urged the fans at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium to support the team, as there is a divide among supporters
There is a division among Atletico Madrid fans, particularly between the Frente Atletico group and other fans who share their views, and another group within the stadium who are dissatisfied with the group.
This has resulted in a lack of unity and support for the team at the Civitas Metropolitano.
Koke doesn’t feel at home in Wanda Metropolitano
Due to their majority presence in the singing section of the Civitas Metropolitano stadium, the Frente Atletico group’s decision not to sing in protest against the club’s leadership has resulted in a lack of atmosphere during matches.
As a result, other sections of the stadium, who are frustrated with the group, have reacted angrily, leading to an overall subdued atmosphere in the stadium.
Speaking to Onda Cero, Koke admitted that it was very different to what they were used to.
“There were times at the Calderon where you went out and you practically knew you were going to win, because our people were supporting us.”
The contrast to nowadays could not be starker.
“Of course it shows, there have been days of very cold atmosphere in the stadium, where it seemed that we were not playing at home.”
