Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti discussed the fitness of key players Bellingham and Modric ahead of their Napoli clash.
After the international break, Los Blancos secured a commanding 3-0 victory in La Liga against Cadiz, with Bellingham scoring his 14th goal of the season in the late stages.
Bellingham was absent from England duty earlier this month and had been on the sidelines for Real Madrid’s two games before the international break.
Nevertheless, following intensive rehabilitation and wearing a protective undershirt during the Cadiz victory, the 20-year-old played for 78 minutes before being substituted.
Ancelotti claimed that Bellingham and Modric injury were not serious
Injuries in other parts of Ancelotti’s squad prompted Modric to make his first league start since November 5, with the seasoned campaigner left the pitch shortly before Bellingham.
Ancelotti told reporters as it reported by Marca: “Bellingham is fine. He still has some problems in his shoulder but he feels fine with the protection.
“Modric’s issue was a muscle overload, nothing more. He played in a different position and was very good in defence,” Ancelotti added.
Ancelotti, anticipating, will deploy a rotated side against Napoli, securing Real Madrid’s spot in the Champions League last 16.
