Ancelotti gives an update on Real Madrid’s injury list prior to the Club World Cup

Real Madrid may be facing Al Ahly in the Club World Cup but they’ll be without five of their players due to them being injured

Real Madrid’s injury list has been growing as Los Blancos head into the Club World Cup in Morocco.

Ancelotti provides an injury update on 3 key players

With the Club World Cup just around the corner, Real Madrid seems to be without some of their key players. Lucas Vazquez and Ferland Mendy won’t travel with the squad as they are at least a week away from recovery.

Real Madrid has been having a tough time of it lately as they lost to Real Mallorca recently. Thibaut Courtois pulled out of that game last minute as he got injured while warming up. Eder Militao and Karim Benzema both picked up knocks in the match which will leave all of them unable to play in the semi-finals.

Carlo Ancelotti talked to the press recently, revealing that all three of the players injured against Mallorca will be able to make it if they reach the final of the Club World Cup.

“They are on the list because we believe they can recover by Saturday, but they have stayed in Madrid so that they can be treated well there. If we reach the final and they are fine, they can come on Thursday.” Ancelotti said.

A return to fitness for all three players will be key for Ancelotti as they can help Real Madrid in both the Club World Cup and the Champions League tie with Liverpool on February 21.
