Barcelona former player Luis Suarez praises future Real Madrid star Endrick Felipe, describing him as a “star.”
Real Madrid is buzzing with excitement over the impending arrival of Endrick Felipe. A deal with Palmeiras for the 17-year-old was finalized last December, and he is set to join the Spanish capital club next summer.
Luis Suarez, who has been playing in Brazil for the past few years, has witnessed Endrick’s rise to stardom. Speaking at ESPN’s Bola de Prata Awards (via Diario AS), Suarez expressed his belief that the teenager will become a key player for Real Madrid.
“He’s a star, he’s still very young, he’s taking his first steps. I think what he’s achieved this year is incredible. Brazil, Real Madrid and football have a star for many years to come.”
Barcelona was also in the running for Endrick before Real Madrid secured the deal. Suarez confessed that he had hoped to see the young talent join his former club rather than their Clasico rivals.
“Obviously I wanted Endrick Felipe at Barcelona, but he is the one who has to decide and enjoy football, and football will enjoy him.”
Endrick Felipe recently played a pivotal role in Palmeiras winning the Brazilian league title this season. Real Madrid will be optimistic that his contributions will lead to success and trophies during his tenure at the club.
