Griezmann: Atletico will be my last club in Europe!

Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has asserted that his current club will be his final one in Europe.

Antoine Griezmann has consistently expressed his desire to play in Major League Soccer (MLS) before retiring from professional football. Griezmann’s recent comments suggest that Atletico Madrid will serve as his last European club, hinting at a potential move to MLS in the future.

Speaking after the win over Lazio in the Champions League, the Atletico Madrid star addressed his future: “I want this to be my last club in Europe, and then to enjoy elsewhere.”

But he also admitted that he would be open to staying in Madrid: “I want to continue here. I’m at the level that my team needs of me. I’m playing well. Let’s see if there’s a chance to continue, but of course, there are lots of other players here, so we’ll see.

Antoine Griezmann has consistently emphasized his desire to conclude his football career in Major League Soccer (MLS). In a previous interview in August, he expressed a willingness to turn down substantial financial offers from Saudi Arabia, emphasizing his commitment to finishing his career in the United States.

Antoine Griezmann’s potential move to MLS doesn’t seem imminent. With his current contract set to expire in 2026 when he will be 35 years old, it suggests that he will remain a crucial player for Atletico Madrid until then. The decision to transition to MLS may materialize after the conclusion of his contract with Atleti.
