Karim Benzema, the captain of Real Madrid, will refuse to leave the club this summer.
The Estadio Santiago Bernabeu’s contract with the Frenchman expires at the end of June, and there have been no updates on a renewal. Speculation about his future plans is increasing.
Even though Benzema has left a lasting impact in Madrid, his injury problems have become a cause for concern as the experienced striker has played a smaller role in 2023.
Although his squad status has changed, it has not affected Benzema’s position in Real Madrid’s run-in. The Frenchman who was nominated for FIFA Best Men’s Player last year, is expected to make a comeback at a critical moment this month for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
Benzema has improved his performances in recent month and so far, scored 25 goals in 32 matches
Benzema’s proficiency in creating a significant impact has been his defining characteristic in the last few seasons. According to reports from Marca, he is prepared to turn down an offer to move to Saudi Arabia in the summer and remain in Madrid.
At least one Middle East-based club has made contact with Benzema this month, but he is determined to stay in Spain.
