Xavi thinks that Lamine Yamal will achieve remarkable accomplishments in the future, following the teenager’s LaLiga debut against Real Betis on Saturday, which made history for Barcelona.
After their frustrating defeat against Rayo, Barca comfortably defeated Betis 4-0 at Camp Nou, with Yamal being introduced as a late substitute so they extended their lead to 11 points at the top of the table.
Aged 15 years and 290 days, the La Masia academy product became the youngest player in LaLiga history for Blaugrana.

Yamal nearly set up a late goal for Ousmane Dembele, but the winger failed to score. Xavi is of the opinion that the midfielder has the potential to make a significant impact.
Xavi said: “I’ve told him to try things. At 15 years old, he is a talent and a special player.
“He has been able to score, he has assisted and when you see him in training you see that he can be very great.”
Raphinha contributed one goal and one assist during the crushing defeat of Betis, while Andreas Christensen and Robert Lewandowski also scored, and Guido Rodriguez scored an own goal.
Raphinha accepts Xavi’s claims on Yamal and said: “I played for my neighbourhood team when I was 15 years old.
“It’s incredible. It would have been incredible to score a goal.”
