Reports suggest that Bayern Munich could potentially rival Liverpool in pursuing Khephren Thuram’s signature.
According to Foot Mercato, Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel has made Thuram his top transfer priority, and they have reportedly reached out to the player’s representatives. However, Sky Sports Germany has refuted these claims.
Regardless, this development adds complexity to Liverpool’s situation, as they were previously believed to be leading the race for Khephren Thuram. The 22-year-old midfielder has garnered high praise for his performances at Nice since joining the club from Monaco in 2019.
Khephren Thuram comes from a footballing family, with his father being the legendary French defender Lilian Thuram, and his brother Marcus also playing as a forward. He recently earned his first cap for the French national team in March. Thuram is capable of playing in defensive midfield or a box-to-box role.
Jurgen Klopp is actively searching for his third summer transfer window signing, having already secured deals for Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
