PSG has extended an astounding contract offer to Kylian Mbappe, valued at €1 billion (£865m/$1.1bn).
According to Defensa Central, the club presented an incredible 10-year contract proposal to Mbappe, guaranteeing him a staggering sum.
The proposed deal would keep Mbappe at the club until age 34, effectively constituting a lifetime agreement. This offer would make it the most lucrative sports contract in history.
However, reports suggest that Mbappe has informed PSG that he is not motivated by financial considerations and envisions playing for Real Madrid, where he can pursue all potential trophies.
The striker has already told the club his intention not to sign a new contract and plans to depart on a free transfer next summer.
PSG has made it clear to Mbappe that he must either agree to a new deal or accept transfer during this summer transfer window.
The striker’s achievements in France have elevated him to legendary status, with 212 goals scored in 260 games and 98 assists recorded.
Despite his success, he has not yet secured a Champions League title. Nevertheless, he played a crucial role in France’s World Cup victory in 2018 and contributed significantly to their journey to the final in 2022.
Mbappe’s future is still up in the air, with this saga likely to run and run.
