PSG’s Neymar and Verratti are reportedly deemed surplus by Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique has informed five prominent players, including Neymar and Marco Verratti, that they are allowed to depart the club during this summer.

This adds to the ongoing unrest at PSG as the club experiences a period of uncertainty. Luis Enrique’s decisions have resulted in Neymar, Verratti, Hugo Ekitike, Juan Bernat, and Renato Sanches being designated as surplus to the team’s requirements at Parc des Princes.

These players, absent from training and the club’s media activities, have engaged in private discussions with Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos about their potential departure from the club.

The performance of the reigning Ligue 1 champions in the upcoming season is uncertain, given the departure of Lionel Messi and the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s future.

Neymar supposedly expressed his desire to leave the club earlier this week, and it appears that PSG might also be considering this option.

A set of 15 players, termed ‘the bomb squad,’ including Mbappe, are currently training separately from PSG’s main group.
