Kylian Mbappe becomes the all-time goalscorer for PSG at age of 24, surpassing Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani
PSG and France star Kylian Mbappe scored in a thrilling match against Nantes to become the all-time goalscorer for PSG with 201 goals.
Mbappe breaks Cavani’s record
The 24-year-old joined PSG from in 2017 in a loan deal that was later made permanent for €180million. He is the second most expensive player in history behind teammate Neymar.
With 21 goals in his debut season at PSG, Mbappe started down a trajectory that now sees him score his 201st goal after 247 appearances.
Despite Mbappe being the younger player in PSG’s explosive front line which consists of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe, the Frenchman has been the most consistent of this trio ever since it formed in 2021.
Mbappe is yet to break Cavani’s goal scoring record in Ligue 1. The current Valencia striker has scored 138 in Ligue 1. Mbappe is only two behind Cavani.
Former Monaco, Reims, Tours and Toulon forward Delio Onnis holds the record for most goals in Ligue 1 with 299.
It is highly doubtful that Mbappe would be able to break that record, with him dreaming of a move to Real Madrid.
