Messi left PSG in summer for Inter Miami

Having spent 17 seasons at Camp Nou, the 36-year-old tearfully bid farewell due to a failure to reach a new contract agreement. Although there were rumors of Messi returning to Barcelona in the summer, he ultimately joined Inter Miami instead.

Tebas conveyed his sadness over Messi’s inability to return to La Liga and conclude his career there.

Tebas said: “Messi did not finish his career in La Liga because Leo and FC Barcelona did not agree. I wish he could have stayed and finished his sporting career in Spain. It would have been the best for him, for me and for Barcelona.

“I wish he had come to Spanish football and never gone to PSG. The end of this film has been sad between Messi and Spanish football.”

During his two seasons in Ligue 1 with PSG, Messi clinched the league title twice and also claimed victory in the French Super Cup.

Despite his accomplishments, Messi faced challenges during his time in France. However, he is currently relishing his experience in MLS with David Beckham’s Inter Miami team.

Messi has transitioned to the American soccer scene and is excelling. In his 11 appearances for Miami thus far, the Argentine legend has notched an impressive 11 goals and added five assists to his tally.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he is demonstrating no indications of slowing down and appears poised to maintain his dominance in America.
