Neymar plans to retire at PSG despite transfer rumors

Despite ongoing rumors suggesting Neymar may leave Paris Saint-Germain, there are reports indicating that the Brazilian player intends to end his career in France.

Although rumors persist about Neymar leaving Paris Saint-Germain, it has been reported that the Brazilian player intends to end his career in France.

The player, who is currently 31 years old, has a contract at Parc des Princes until 2027. If he completes the full length of the contract, he will have been in Paris for a decade.

Neymar has no intention of leaving PSG

According to The Athletic, Neymar wants to stay where he is, even though there have been rumors about him going back to Barcelona or moving to the Premier League for a large sum of money. PSG spent €222 million on him in 2017, setting a record, and they know they would have a hard time getting that amount of money back if they were to sell him.

Neymar has no intention of seeking a transfer as he has established himself as a key player for PSG in Ligue 1 alongside other famous players such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. He wishes to win more titles and help the team achieve their first Champions League victory, having already won 13 trophies in France.

It is anticipated that Neymar will continue playing for his national team until the 2026 World Cup, even though he will be 35 years old when his contract with PSG ends. He has scored 118 goals in 173 games for the club. Whether he will retire or continue his association with PSG after his contract ends will be decided much later.
