OGC Nice player whow as found standing on a bridge edge is being reported to be safe

Reports from France indicate that an OGC Nice player, who was on the edge of a road bridge in the city in what seemed like a suicide attempt, has been rescued and is now safe.

The professional footballer had initially pulled over on the motorway’s hard shoulder, left their vehicle, and climbed over the barrier.

Police responded quickly to the situation at the Magnan viaduct, and RMC Sport mentioned that the Ligue 1 club dispatched a psychologist to provide assistance to the player.

In response to this incident, Nice decided to cancel their press conference scheduled for Friday ahead of their match against Brest on Sunday. Some reporters had already arrived when this decision was made, and the club also held a crisis meeting.

After spending just under three hours on the bridge’s edge, the player was safely rescued by the emergency services, as reported by Canal+.
