PSG set to launch their own MMA franchise with Khabib Nurmagomedov helping them out

PSG reportedly plans to launch its own mixed martial arts franchise with former UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov helping out.

Former UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov has been working with the French club for some time, and L’Equipe has reported that PSG is now venturing into the world of MMA.

For several years, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has expressed his desire to establish the club as a major player in the sports world. They have already created teams in judo, handball, and esports, and now they are expanding into MMA.

Star striker Kylian Mbappe has shown interest in MMA and was recently seen at an event in Paris, where he witnessed Cedric Doumbe knocking out Jordan Zebo.

Djamel Bouras, the president of PSG Judo, is expected to lead the club’s foray into the combat sport, and prominent MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz may also be involved. UFC hall of fame star Nurmagomedov could also be part of this venture, given his close ties to Al-Khelaifi.

As PSG explores the MMA world, their football team is scheduled to return to Ligue 1 action on October 21 when they face Strasbourg.
