Declan Rice will leave West Ham – Club confirmed

Chairman David Sullivan allowed Declan Rice to leave West Ham, as he disclosed the ‘promise’ amidst interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

After guiding the Hammers to victory in the Europa Conference League against Fiorentina in Prague, the England international hinted at the possibility of extending his stay at the London Stadium.

Nevertheless, club chairman Sullivan has confirmed that he will be departing, as he has already “set his heart on going.”

Declan Rice is under the radar of Man United and Arsenal

“We promised him he could go,” Sullivan told talkSport. “He set his heart on going. You can’t ask for a man who has committed more to us this season.

“In due course, he has to get on and we have to get a replacement – or several replacements. You can’t keep a player who doesn’t want to be there.”

Arsenal is leading the race to secure Rice’s services in the upcoming summer transfer window. They have reportedly been preparing a £90m deal, hoping it will outbid Manchester United for the player’s signature.

Bayern Munich, the reigning Bundesliga champions, are also pursuing the midfielder, with coach Thomas Tuchel being an admirer of the West Ham captain.

However, reports suggest that Rice has no interest in leaving England, as he has already established himself well in London. This factor gives Arsenal an additional advantage in the competition to secure his transfer.
