Kyle Walker on Bayern Munich’s radar as his game time is reduced at City

Manchester City’s right-back Kyle Walker has caught the attention of Bayern Munich, who are actively pursuing his signature this summer and are likely to finalize the transfer.

According to The Athletic, Bayern Munich is closely monitoring Kyle Walker‘s situation at Manchester City, and there is anticipation that the transfer will be completed. The right-back, who joined City from Tottenham in 2017, has amassed 254 appearances for the club. During his tenure, he has secured five Premier League titles, four League Cups, and two FA Cups. However, he was named as a substitute in the Champions League final against Inter Milan when City achieved the treble.

While the deal has not been finalized, there are no anticipated obstacles regarding the fee and personal terms, as Kyle Walker has only one year remaining on his contract. In the January transfer window, Bayern Munich and Manchester City already engaged in business when Joao Cancelo was loaned to Munich.

Having celebrated his 33rd birthday in May, the English player has reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with his playing time this season. Despite being on the bench during the Champions League final, he was given only three starting opportunities throughout the competition and was granted a mere 22 starts in the league.

City kick off their pre-season, ironically enough, against Bayern on July 26 in Japan.
