Bruno Fernandes has reportedly turned down Saudi Pro League offers to stay at Manchester United

Fabrizio Romano reported that Bruno Fernandes refused several offers from the Saudi Pro League in June, as he plans to remain at Manchester United.

The Portugal international intends to become the club captain, replacing Harry Maguire who was stripped of the role.

Although the clubs that approached Fernandes remain unidentified, it would require a significant sum to convince a player of his stature to leave.

Fernandes has begun pre-season training with United after a prolonged break and is expected to play a crucial role in the team’s advancement under Erik ten Hag.

On Wednesday, United will play a friendly match against Lyon in Edinburgh as part of their pre-season schedule, before embarking on a tour to the USA. Fernandes, who has come back to the club, is expected to play a role in the game.
