Arsenal’s Jorginho might still be on the move with Fenerbahce pursuing the Italian

Arsenal might not be finished with their transfer market activity, as Turkish club Fenerbahce is reportedly contemplating a move for midfielder Jorginho.

Turkish journalist Arda Biben states that the Turkish giants Fenerbahce are actively searching for a “number six” midfielder, with Jorginho being one of the primary targets. They are also considering Guido Rodriguez from Real Betis and Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City. Fenerbahce has instructed intermediaries to negotiate player prices.

A potential departure for Jorginho would bring an end to his brief but impactful tenure at The Emirates. The Brazilian-born midfielder arrived during the winter transfer window as Arsenal aimed to strengthen the squad for an ultimately unsuccessful title challenge.

Despite making valuable contributions in the latter part of the previous season, he has found playing time harder to come by in the current season, featuring for just 17 minutes in the Premier League in 2023/24.

Jorginho is expected to bide his time on the bench, awaiting an opportunity, as the Gunners welcome Manchester United to the Emirates on Sunday.
