Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has stated that Christian Eriksen is expected to come back from his lengthy ankle injury in the following month.
During Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Reading in the EFL Cup on January 28th, Eriksen was injured as a result of a hard tackle by Andy Carroll.
Eriksen played a crucial role for Man United
Initially, it was believed that the Danish would be out of play for most of the season, and it was hoped that he would recover and return to the game in April or May.
Erik ten Hag provided encouraging news regarding ex-Tottenham and Inter player Eriksen who had played a crucial role in their resurgence during the first part of the season.
“Yes, some point in April, he will be back,” Ten Hag admited. “He is doing really well, really good in his rehab.
“The progress is very good and we have to see how that develops in the coming weeks.”
Manchester United have a hectic schedule ahead due to their involvement in the Premier League, FA Cup, and Europa League, with nine matches planned for April.
As of now, they are ranked third in the Premier League table, with a three-point lead over Newcastle United in fifth place, as they attempt to secure a spot in the Champions League.
Eriksen, who is 31 years old, has played in 29 games across all competitions for United this season, scoring two goals and providing nine assists, seven of which were in the Premier League.
