Marco Silva signs a three-year contract extension with Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva has extended his contract by three years, securing his position at Craven Cottage until 2026.

Silva’s previous contract was until the end of June, and during his first season in charge, he led Fulham to promotion from the Championship back to the Premier League. This renewal comes three months after he initially received the offer for a new deal. In May, he steered the club to a 10th-place finish, marking their highest league standing in 11 years.

He received the first offer for a new contract in July, which followed his rejection of a lucrative opportunity to manage in Saudi Arabia. However, he was hesitant to sign the new deal at that time, as reported by Sky Sports News.

In the current season, Fulham holds the 13th position in the table after nine games, and they are just one point away from entering the top half.

Marco Silva ‘pleased’ with the new contract

Silva said to the club website“I’m really pleased to sign a new contract as it was something we had been discussing for some time. It’s always a good sign when both parties are happy and want to continue working together.

“I feel that the business is not done yet, we’ve had two great seasons, and the goal is clearly there to sustain this club in the Premier League. This is key for the future of this club, and we are working hard to achieve it.

“It is important to feel the trust and have the support of our owners. My relationship with them, and with Fulham as a whole, has been really important in this decision and the success of the last two seasons.

“The commitment and ambition that these players have demonstrated since day one has been the key to what we have achieved, and that will always continue to be the case, along with the unconditional support of our fans, who are fundamental. Let’s continue together on this long journey.”

During his tenure with the west London club, Marco Silva has achieved 51 wins, 21 draws, and suffered 33 losses in a total of 105 games.
