Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City follow Man United in pursuit of Marc Guehi

Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United have reportedly shown interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The Sun reports that Arsenal is highly interested in Marc Guehi. However, since Palace seems unwilling to sell the English center-back in January, Manchester City’s competing interest might lead to a summer bidding war. Manchester United and even Marc Guehi’s former club, Chelsea, are also linked to the player.

While no specific price has been confirmed, it has been previously suggested that it would require a club-record transfer fee for Palace to part ways with Guehi, which currently stands at £50 million ($60.3 million) following Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s move to Manchester United in 2019.

Marc Guehi made a permanent transfer to Palace for £18 million ($21.8 million) in 2021, following an 18-month loan stint at Swansea from Chelsea.

He quickly established himself as a regular for the Eagles, and his performances in the Premier League earned him a spot in the senior England squad last year.

He continues to be one of the top English defenders in the league, and his value to Palace is safeguarded by a lengthy contract that extends until 2026.

For now, Guehi’s focus remains on Crystal Palace. The team recently had a narrow loss to Premier League leaders Tottenham and is looking to break a streak of three games without a win. In the upcoming matches at the start of November, Palace will face struggling Burnley and Everton sides.
