Arsenal U18s’ match against Brighton had to be postponed because their team bus accidentally arrived in Bournemouth, 95 miles farther than their intended destination.
The Gunners’ Under-18 team set out on their journey from London to the South Coast in the morning to arrive in time for a 12 PM kickoff. However, due to an unusual turn of events, they never reached their intended destination!
According to Arsenal Youth (as reported by Yahoo UK), the team bus driver took a wrong turn on the M25, leading the squad inexplicably to Bournemouth, which was a considerable 95 miles away from their original destination.
This unexpected detour caused confusion and the realization that they wouldn’t reach the match on time. Consequently, Arsenal decided to return to their London Colney training base. The game, initially delayed by half an hour, will now need to be rescheduled for a later date, leaving both teams unexpectedly without a match.
After a shaky start to the season, Jack Wilshere‘s Arsenal U18 team has hit a good run of form, going unbeaten in their last three games, with two wins and a draw. Their next league fixture will be against Norwich City on November 11.
