According to Arsenal Youth (as reported by Yahoo UK), the team bus driver took a wrong turn on the M25, leading the squad inexplicably to Bournemouth, which was a considerable 95 miles away from their original destination.

This unexpected detour caused confusion and the realization that they wouldn’t reach the match on time. Consequently, Arsenal decided to return to their London Colney training base.
