the Brazilian midfielder has been handed a 3-match suspension but De Gea believes that they are capable of dealing with it
David De Gea played down Casemiro’s suspension, saying that the Red Devils are more than capable of going on fine without him.
United’s great squad depths allow them to deal with Casemiro’s suspension, claims De Gea
United managed to get a narrow 2-1 win at Old Trafford against Crystal Palace, but that win came at a cost. During a scuffle between the players of both sides, Casemiro appeared to be choking Palace’s Will Hughes for which he then received a straight red card.
Casemiro’s suspension adds to United’s midfield woes as they now miss, Eriksen and McTominay because of injury as well. However, David De Gea believes that they could deal with these absences.
Speaking to manutd.com, the goalkeeper said: “Of course. We are missing Christian, Scott, and now Case, so yeah, it’s a bit tough. They are big players for us. Of course, we have more players. We have a big squad.”
Casemiro’s suspension will see him absent from both of United’s games against Leeds United as well as their match against Leicester City. However, he will be able to accompany Manchester United against Barcelona in their first leg of the Europa League clash.
