Jesse Lingard staying ‘positive’ after unsuccessful Saudi Pro League

Jesse Lingard declared his determination to find a new club despite an unsuccessful trial in the Saudi Pro League, vowing that he will overcome even the most challenging days.

The former Manchester United forward is actively maintaining his fitness, leaving no stone unturned in his efforts to secure a fresh opportunity and rejuvenate his career.

Lingard has been unattached since Nottingham Forest did not renew his contract after the previous season but is diligently working at the training ground, preparing for potential opportunities.

Jesse Lingard presented himself to West Ham and engaged in training sessions with his former club, aiming to make a positive impression on David Moyes. Unfortunately, the circumstances did not align, and the London club chose not to offer a contract to the former England international.

Following this, Lingard explored the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia and trained with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq. However, negotiations reportedly broke down due to disagreements over salary terms.

Jesse Lingard posted a series of photos from his individual training sessions and captioned: “Even the hardest days will eventually pass. We only do positive 🙏🏾✨” A few days back he had posted another round of photos with a caption that read: “Positivity & Progress ✨”

With the unsuccessful talks in Saudi Arabia, Jesse Lingard’s future remains uncertain. Nevertheless, the forward is optimistic that the upcoming winter transfer window might bring positive news. Teams across Europe and the Middle East will likely be seeking to reinforce their squads ahead of the crucial stages of the 2023-24 campaign. Lingard will be hoping for an opportunity to secure a new chapter in his career during this transfer window.
