Phil Foden undergoes appendix surgery

On Sunday, Phil Foden underwent a surgical operation to extract his appendix and will now have to take some time off to recover

Foden is likely to lose up to two weeks

This was confirmed by England on Sunday and as a result, he was not available for the team’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine.

After his surgical procedure to remove his appendix, Manchester City announced that Phil Foden will not be able to play in the upcoming important Premier League game against Liverpool.

The English midfielder came off the bench for his national team during their match against Italy but had to be substituted after just 12 minutes due to acute appendicitis.

The exact duration of Foden’s absence has not been specified, although the UK National Health Service (NHS) advises a minimum of two weeks for recovery.
