Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota could face a spell on the sidelines after suffering injuries in Liverpool’s draw against Manchester City.
After a 1-1 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad, Jurgen Klopp revealed that both Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota have suffered injuries.
Jota came off the pitch shortly after halftime, and Alisson required treatment on the pitch during the closing moments due to a suspected hamstring injury.
After the match, Klopp told reporters: “The shadow on this game is obviously that Ali[sson] felt something and Diogo [Jota] felt something – something we have to assess and then we will see. That’s not cool.”
Klopp added: “I hope it’s not that serious, but I don’t have the answer – no clue in the moment what it is. I spoke to him and he said he only felt [it] a little bit, but we have to wait for the scan.”
Alisson’s absence would be a big blow for Liverpool who has to play 10 games in the next 38 days.
Liverpool will play with LASK on Thursday in the Europa League. They are in second place in the Premier League, one point behind Man City.
