Phil Foden had to undergo surgery for his appendix, which resulted in him being unable to participate in England’s Euro 2024 qualifying match against Ukraine, which they won 2-0.
Foden ‘feeling much better’ after surgery
Foden uploaded his photograph post-surgery as a story on his Instagram page where he wrote: “Thank you for all the messages. Feeling much better already. I’ll be back soon.”
Foden was subbed on in the second half of England’s match against Italy in Naples on Thursday, but was taken off later due to Luke Shaw’s red card.
Man City winger will undergo rehabilitation after his appendix surgery and will not be available to play for Manchester City in their Premier League match against Liverpool on April 1.
