Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in reuniting with Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, who has yet to agree on a new contract with the Premier League club
According to recent reports from The Times, Bayern Munich are interested in Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, who is yet to sign a new contract with the Blues.
While negotiations have stalled, Mount has been linked with several Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United.
Mount could be on his way out of Chelsea due to FFP regulations
However, Bayern Munich have also emerged as potential suitors, and Chelsea are reportedly looking for a transfer fee of at least £50 million ($61.7m) for the 24-year-old, whose current contract with the club expires in the summer of 2024.
Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on reuniting with Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, who played a crucial role in the club’s Champions League triumph last year under the German’s management.
The potential move to Bayern Munich may not be the only Chelsea-related deal for Tuchel, as he expressed his desire to bring highly-rated assistant coach Anthony Barry to the German club, which didn’t go down well with Chelsea.
Chelsea may have to sell Mason Mount even if they make progress in contract talks. On Monday, it was reported that the club’s losses of £121m ($149.4m) for the 2021-22 season, combined with their high spending this campaign, could force them to sell several players in the summer to comply with FFP regulations.
