Manchester United is increasing efforts to acquire the 20-year-old Valencia starlet, Javi Guerra, who is valued at €40 million.
Javi Guerra’s future at Valencia is uncertain. The 20-year-old midfielder, who emerged towards the end of last season, is drawing attention from major European clubs. Manchester United and Juventus are reportedly interested in securing a deal in the upcoming months.
Currently, the Premier League giants seem to be the frontrunners to secure Guerra’s signature. According to Relevo, club officials have extensively scouted him this season. Paul Mitchell, anticipated to join Manchester United’s football department soon, is reported to be a significant admirer of the Los Che starlet.
A January deal for Guerra is highly unlikely as Valencia is not keen on letting go of one of their key players mid-season. The club is well-protected as Guerra has a €100 million release clause in his contract. However, Manchester United anticipates signing Guerra for €35-40 million in the summer, considering Valencia’s financial challenges.
Losing Guerra would be a significant setback for Valencia, given his immense potential. Unfortunately, sales, particularly substantial ones, are deemed necessary for Ruben Baraja and the sporting department.
