After his separation from wife Annie Kilner, Kyle Walker has publicly expressed regret for causing her “upset.”
Man City captain Kyle Walker and his wife Annie Kilner, together for 13 years with three children, decided to separate following allegations of Walker’s infidelity.
Man City defender Kyle Walker has now taken to Instagram to support his spouse, describing her as a “wonderful woman,” despite being reportedly asked to leave their £2.4 million marital residence.
The Man City defender posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram: “Annie is an amazing woman and I can only apologise for the upset I’ve caused her. She’s been part of my life for so long and that will never change for the sake of our children. I would ask for privacy for all of our family, and especially our young children, whilst we work through these difficult times.”
According to The Daily Mail, Annie Kilner had been aware of Kyle Walker fathering two children with reality star Lauryn Goodman for some time. However, it was not the sole cause of their separation. Instead, it seems to be a culmination of Kyle’s actions that has led to the need for time apart from each other.
Despite the personal challenges in his life, it is likely that the Manchester City captain will be available to start for Pep Guardiola when his side faces Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday, January 13.
