Wolves are contemplating a loan deal for Chelsea striker Armando Broja, whose future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain.
Armando Broja has mostly played second fiddle to Nicolas Jackson in Chelsea‘s attack, starting only seven games this season. Despite recovering from a ligament tear, his future is uncertain. Chelsea’s interest in Osimhen and Ferguson could prompt Broja to consider his options. Wolves are reportedly entering the picture, as per the Guardian.
Chelsea values Armando Broja highly, but injuries and limited goals hindered his progress. Despite a four-year contract, Chelsea may sell academy players for financial compliance, and Broja might be part of this strategy. Chelsea seeks a clinical striker, and Broja hasn’t yet fulfilled that role.
Broja excelled on loan at Vitesse in 2020/21, scoring 11 goals, and later at Southampton with nine goals. However, his Chelsea record is less impressive, with only three goals in 36 matches so far.
Armando Broja has an opportunity to change his luck in Chelsea’s upcoming matches. They face Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg, aiming to overturn a 1-0 deficit. Subsequently, they play Aston Villa in the FA Cup on January 26, followed by an away match against Liverpool in the Premier League five days later.
