Marotta definitively declares that Inzaghi will still be Inter’s coach next season

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has expressed full support for coach Simone Inzaghi following the team’s qualification for the Champions League final, stating that Inzaghi will unquestionably remain in charge for the upcoming season.

Earlier in the season, there were strong speculations that Inzaghi would be replaced at the end of the 2022-23 season due to a disappointing performance in Serie A, which cast doubts on the team’s chances of getting Champions League qualification.

However, in recent months, Inzaghi has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround in Inter’s season. The Nerazzurri have climbed back into the top four of the league table and have also reached the finals of the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, with impressive victories over Juventus and Milan, respectively.

The remarkable transformation of Inter’s season has led the club’s hierarchy to completely revise their stance on Inzaghi’s future, even though Marotta asserts that there was never any uncertainty regarding Inzaghi’s capabilities.

Speaking to Rai Italia, Marotta gave Inzaghi his full support, insisting: “This year we have never thought, not even for a second, of replacing Inzaghi.

“He managed to strengthen his position thanks to the team’s performances which are the result of his technical guidance.

“The chances of Inzaghi staying on, expressed as a percentage, is 100%. He is and will be our coach again next year.”
