Roma to start negotiation over Scamacca with West Ham

Reports suggest that Roma and West Ham directors will actively negotiate Gianluca Scamacca’s transfer to the Stadio Olimpico next week.

Roma has put the deal on hold as they only seek to secure Gianluca Scamacca on loan, while West Ham aims for a permanent transfer. Il Corriere dello Sport states that discussions between Roma and West Ham directors will resume next week.

The Giallorossi are hopeful that the Hammers will eventually agree to loan the player with an option to buy. However, depending on their upcoming sales, they may even consider including an obligation to buy in the deal, tying it to the performances of both the team and the player.

Scamacca played through Roma’s youth rank between 2012 to 2015

Scamacca who missed Europa Conference League final with West Ham, has already expressed his willingness to return to the Capital, and according to the report, he has a strong desire to play for the Giallorossi again.

The 24-year-old previously played in Roma’s youth sector from 2012 to 2015 before joining PSV.

Former Serie A and Premier League star Zola shared his thoughts on the future of the Italian international, suggesting on Saturday that he should remain in England for one more season.
