Lukaku’s transfer situation has taken a dramatic turn as his move to Inter has completely fallen through, and now Juventus has emerged as his probable destination.
Initially, it seemed that Lukaku was heading towards Inter, with the club planning to sell Andre Onana to finance the Belgian’s transfer. However, according to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Lukaku ceased communication with Inter and became difficult to reach once Juventus expressed interest, which greatly frustrated the club’s directors.
As a result, Inter has informed Chelsea that they no longer wish to pursue talks for Lukaku and have withdrawn from the deal entirely. A brief conversation between Inter director Piero Ausilio and Lukaku on Friday night marked the end of their interest in the striker.
For Juventus to secure Lukaku, they must offload Dusan Vlahovic first. Vlahovic has recently been linked with a move to Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain.
Whether Juventus can successfully sell Vlahovic in the upcoming weeks will play a crucial role. However, it is evident that Lukaku’s actions have strained his relationship with Inter and have caused damage to his reputation among the fans.
