Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat who is under the radar by top clubs, reconsiders staying after Fiorentina pre-season friendly.
Amrabat made an appearance during the second half of today’s friendly match, where Fiorentina secured a 4-0 victory over Grosseto. The goals were scored by Josip Brekalo, Arthur Melo, Abdelhamid Sabiri, and Luka Jovic.
After the game, reporters asked Sofyan Amrabat whether he would leave Fiorentina. He replied: “I don’t know, I could remain.”
Numerous clubs across Europe vying for his services had widely anticipated the midfielder’s departure this summer.
As of now, no club has managed to meet the €30m asking price, and it is possible that the price may decrease to €25m as the summer progresses. Manchester United’s need to sell players before making further squad additions may influence this adjustment.
Sofyan Amrabat was close to leave Fiorentina but his decision has changed
Technically, Fiorentina is not under pressure to sell the Morocco international since his contract extends until June 2024. However, there exists an option to extend the contract for an additional year, providing some flexibility in their decision-making.
Amrabat will turn 27 later this month, and despite receiving interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, he appears to have a preference for staying in Europe.
