Serie A giants Inter have finalized the acquisition of French defender Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich for €30 million.
The French international full-back has officially departed Bayern, completing a transition to Inter under a five-year agreement.
In order to secure the player’s services, Inter has disbursed a transfer fee of €30 million (£26 million/$33 million) to the Bundesliga champions.
Pavard, who was in the last year of his contract with Bayern, was eager to depart from the German club, attracting interest from teams like Manchester United.
Last week, he formally submitted a transfer request to Bayern, prompting negotiations with Inter to commence.
Following victories in their initial two Serie A matches, Simone Inzaghi’s team will face Fiorentina on the upcoming Sunday.
