Kim Min-Jae cautions Napoli to be ‘alert’ in the title race
Despite attracting interest from a number of clubs around Europe, he is committed to staying with Napoli. Kim made the comments following South Korea’s 2-2 friendly draw with Colombia.
“I cannot be bothered by transfer rumors because they aren’t true. Now I’m focusing on the team, rather than that kind of nonsense. There are so many important matches to go and right now I only want to focus on Napoli.”
“The season is not over yet, we all still have to be alert“
He touched on Napoli’s goals for the remainder of this season.
“The season is not over yet, we all still have to be alert. I have this kind of mentality for the league. The idea is that you have to win every game. After gaining as many points as possible we are going in the direction of aiming for the Champions League.”
Finally, Kim noted his personal objectives for his debut season with Napoli.
“I received the best player of the month award once, if you do well as a team you will also receive individual awards. I aim to be in the Top XI this season.”
Kim Min-Jae is under contract until June 2025, with the option of an additional two years.
It is also reported that he has a release clause of approximately €50m, which can be triggered this summer.
