Lautaro’s goal was enough for Inter to move past bitter rivals AC Milan, prompting the Nerazzurri manager to praise Inter for their brilliant performance.
Inzaghi hails Inter for the one-sided derby win
Napoli may be leading the Serie A but the hunt for the second place was certainly made more interesting as AC Milan and Internazionale clashed on Sunday. But rather than end their miserable run of form, Ac Milan buckled under Internazionale’s pressure and lost the match 1-0.
Inter manager Inzaghi praised his side for their performance, saying: “I’m very satisfied, I complimented the team because they were perfect, I don’t remember a derby won and dominated in this way.
“We had a great derby, winning two in I think 20 days don’t always happen. We don’t look forward or backward in the standings, but only at us.”
Inzaghi was concerned about Pioli’s tactics, who choose to be more defensive in the derby, but he claims that he focused on his own tactics a lot more.
“There’s been talk about it for days [Pioli’s tactics]. I have to be honest that I was worried about mine, regardless of how Milan played.” Inzaghi added.
“Every Sunday we meet three or four [man] defenses. Tonight in the first half we bordered on perfection. In the second we did very well and conceded the first shot in the 75th minute. It’s a great satisfaction.”
