Spalletti believes Milan loss will not be a setback for Napoli

Luciano Spalletti believes that Napoli will make a comeback in the Champions League quarter-finals against Milan, despite suffering a devastating 4-0 loss to the Rossoneri.

Stefano Pioli’s dominant team scored two goals with Rafael Leao’s exceptional performance, causing the Serie A leaders to crumble at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday.

Although Napoli maintains a 16-point lead over their nearest competitors, Lazio, the loss they suffered is their most significant defeat in Serie A since Atalanta’s 5-1 victory over them in December 2007.

Napoli are heading for winning the Serie A and they are in the quarter final of Champions League

Napoli appears poised to end their 33-year drought and win the Scudetto, making their upcoming Champions League matchup with Milan the most crucial task remaining for the team this season.

Spalletti anticipates that the Partenopei will enhance their performance for these games.

When questioned whether the outcome was a setback for Napoli, he said:“Let’s hope it’s a hole and not a chasm

“Tonight I saw great willingness on the part of the boys, I’m very confident. We’ll go back to work tomorrow morning for the next one.

“Here, we played against the Italian champions, they are a team of the highest level. Last year they deservedly won the title – if you get something wrong you’ll get a clear result.”
