Genoa reportedly rejected Napoli’s initial offer for Radu Dragusin, who is a target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
In the current Serie A season, the Romania international has become one of the most promising defenders, attracting interest from Napoli and Tottenham as they vie to secure his services in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that the reigning Serie A champions have already presented an initial offer for the former Juventus center-back. The bid, reportedly valued at €13 million along with Alessandro Zanoli, was, however, turned down by the Grifone.
Zanoli is anticipated to make a move to Marassi to fill the void left by Silvan Hefti, who has officially transferred to Ligue 1 side Montpellier.
Corriere dello Sport affirms that Napoli might consider including Leo Ostigard, a former Genoa defender, in the deal. However, Napoli appears unwilling to meet Dragusin’s €30 million price tag.
As per Sky Sport Italia, Genoa has set an even higher asking price, approximately €35 million, while Tottenham is reportedly gearing up to present an offer slightly exceeding €20 million.
On Tuesday, Dragusin’s agent stated that his client has no urgency to depart from Marassi during the January transfer window.
