Jose Mourinho has announced his participation in an upcoming Netflix documentary that is designed to portray him as a “total idiot.”
The 60-year-old Jose Mourinho, renowned for his managerial career with stints at Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, is presently enjoying his role at Roma.
Following Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Cremonese, Mourinho shared insights into the Netflix documentary, indicating its release on Thursday.
“I’ll give you some news, a documentary about me starts on Netflix, it’s a documentary about my career and it starts on Thursday,” he revealed. “There are things that will only be known there, they pay me well.
“I hadn’t signed with Roma yet, but I had given my word. A club came along and wanted me to break my agreement with Roma, which hadn’t yet been signed, and I said no.
“When the documentary comes out everyone will say I’m a total idiot. When Portugal arrived I immediately told the president about it. And When Saudi Arabia arrived I immediately told the president about it. This is why I don’t think they talk to other coaches behind my back, for me it’s not like that because there is reciprocity.”
The documentary’s specific content is yet to be revealed, but it is expected that Mourinho will delve into his experiences with each of his former teams during his noteworthy 24-year career.
Supporters may anticipate insights into his contentious departures from clubs like United and Tottenham, and his dual stints with Chelsea, marked by both triumphs and challenges, are likely to be extensively covered.
Controversy during his tenure with Real Madrid, where Mourinho achieved remarkable success but faced accusations related to referees, media, and conflicts within the dressing room, is also anticipated to be a focal point.
