Former Borussia Dortmund and West Ham winger Yarmolenko is shining in his new role at Al-Ain
Ukraine captain and former West Ham United winger Andriy Yarmolenko helped Al-Ain come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Al-Jazira.
UAE Pro League has a new superstar
Andriy Yarmolenko seems to be enjoying life at the Emirati Al-Ain FC. The Ukrainian winger/forward previously played for the likes of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga as well as West Ham United in the Premier League. But he is now pursuing life in UAE, where he has been starring for Al_Ain since the start of the season.
Yarmolenko signed for West Ham United in 2018 from Borussia Dortmund. After scoring 13 goals in 86 matches for West Ham United, the Ukrainian winger was allowed to leave for free.
He then joined Al-Ain in July of 2022 where he has been starring ever since. Yarmolenko has managed to score 8 goals and provide 3 assists in this season of UAE Pro League, helping his team to 31 points and fifth place in the league. Their comeback against Al Jazira ensured that Al-Ain will stay in the title race with only 3 points off of the top spot.
