Casemiro picked up an injury in United’s humiliating 7-0 loss against Liverpool and might be sidelined for their Europa League clash
Man Utd midfielder Casemiro has apparently picked up an injury on Sunday’s 7-0 loss against Liverpool, which could prevent him from accompanying the Red Devils against Real Betis in the Europa League.
Casemiro may have to sit out Man Utd’s Europa League tie
Not only were Man Utd humiliated in the Premier League as they lost 7-0 to arch-rivals Liverpool but also they have found out that their star player Casemiro has been injured and may have to sit out their round of 16 Europa League clash against Real Betis.
As it stands, the club’s medical staff have to assess Casemiro’s injury to see whether he can take part in the match or not.
If the former Real Madrid man fails to pass his fitness check, United will be dealt a huge blow. Casemiro has been instrumental in turning United’s fortunes around and although the club was embarrassed by the 7-0 loss, he has helped United win a trophy already. The Brazilian has recorded 5 goals and 5 assists in 35 appearances since joining Man Utd.
