ten Hag refuses to rotate his squad against Betis

ten Hag won’t rotate his squad for the Real Betis clash in the Europa League last 16, even with the FA cup quarter-finals coming up

Erik ten Hag has stated that he will not rotate his Manchester United squad for their Europa League second-leg match against Real Betis, even though their schedule is quite demanding.

Ten Hag wary of Real Betis’ strength

Despite having a comfortable 4-1 lead after the first leg of their last-16 tie, the team will head to Spain for the away match. There were rumors that Ten Hag might change his starting lineup due to the team’s busy schedule, but he has dismissed such suggestions.

“It is always serious,” he said. “We will play our best team. We have to put up a team that can adapt during the game.

“As a team we know our opponent can, as they have really good players. We have to be ready to battle with them.”

Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro are at risk of being suspended if they receive a booking in the match against Real Betis. Additionally, Casemiro is already suspended from domestic action.

But Ten Hag said: “They will play, both. It is a very good opponent. We need to go again. We need our best players and our best team.”

Speaking about Garnacho’s injury which seemed to worry United fans, ten Hag said: “I can’t say exactly [when he will be back]. It will take weeks, it is a serious injury.”

“Once again, after Christian Eriksen, we have a serious injury after a contact,” Ten Hag said. “He will be back before the end of the season. We need to get him back as soon as possible, and we hope he is ready.”
