Man United suffer double injury blow as Lindelof and Martinez ruled out for at least a month

Manchester United suffer new injury blow as Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are set to miss next month with injuries.

Manchester United has confirmed that Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof will be out of action for at least a month with muscle injuries.

Lindelof suffered a hamstring injury during Saturday’s Premier League match against Brentford. Martinez also has picked up a calf injury in training. The argentinian defender returned to action against Brentford after two months out with a knee injury.

Both defenders are set to miss the next month with injuries, but United is hopeful that they will return to the squad before the end of the season. Martinez has only played in 11 matches for United this season, while Lindelof has made 27 appearances in all competitions.

Luke Shaw also is still unavailable while Raphaël Varane picked up a knock in the first half against Brentford.

Eric Ten Hag’s side is in sixth place in the Premier League table with 48 points after 29 matches. They are eight points behind Tottenham and elev points behind Aston Villa who has played one more game.

Man United will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday before hosting Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.
