Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane believes his countryman Kylian Mbappe will surpass all expectations at Los Blancos.
On June 3, Real Madrid ended years of speculation and announced the signing of Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer following the expiration of his Paris Saint-Germain contract.
The French superstar will sign a five-year contract with an annual salary of €15 million net. Mbappe will also receive a signing bonus of around 100 million euros over five years.
When asked what he expected from Mbappe, Real Madrid and France icon Zinedine Zidane said Mbappe will make history in the Spanish capital.
“He will make history at Real Madrid. I think he will surpass all the great French players, including myself”, Zidane said as per TF1, via Diario AS.
“Looking at him, I think he will surpass the others.”
The 25-year-old left PSG as the club’s all-time top scorer with 256 goals and 108 assists in 308 appearances across all competitions.
Mbappe is with France’s squad ahead of the Euro 2024 in Germany and will join the Real Madrid squad for a pre-season tour in the United States of America in August.
