Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe says he is ‘ready’ for Champions League quarterfinal clash against Barcelona.
On Wednesday night, Paris Saint-Germain will host Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie.
The last time both teams faced each other in the Champions League, the French side eliminated Barcelona with a 5-2 win on aggregate in 2021. Mbappe scored four times in this tie, including a hat trick at Camp Nou.
In an interview with Telefoot, Mbappe who is set to join Real Madrid in the summer, said he will not hide in upcoming clashes against Xavi’s side.
“It is the time [of the season] for great players,” Mbappe said. “I am ready and, as always, I am not going to hide.
“Every year, this period is a turning point in the season. By the end of April, we will have an indication of the type of campaign we are likely to have.
“Seeing the dynamic the team is in, I am sure that we will give everything. From there, it’s in God’s hands.”
Mbappe has scored 39 goals in 40 matches in all competitions for PSG this season.
